In September, all ISD students in grades Senior Kindergarten to Grade 10 participated in Measures of Academic Progress Growth (MAP) to assess their knowledge and skills. The fall MAP is used as a baseline to determine growth over the school year and spring MAP provides the school, parents, students and teachers with data analysis of annual growth.

ISD is committed to providing students with the most professional academic guidance and uses a series of rigorous and effective examination assessments. ISD gives students the MAP Growth assessment to determine students’ instructional level and to measure academic growth throughout the school year, and from year to year in the areas of math, reading, language usage, science, and MAP for Primary Grades (MPG). These assessments have been designed specifically to align with the Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards upon which the curriculum for the tested subjects are based.

ISD는 학생들에게 가장 전문적인 학업 지도를 제공하기 위해 최선을 다하고 있으며 일련의 엄격하고 효과적인 시험 평가를 사용합니다. ISD는 학생들에게 MAP 성장 평가를제공하여 학생의 학습 수준을 결정하고 학년도 전반에 걸쳐 수학, 읽기, 언어 사용, 과학및 초등 학년을 위한 MAP(MPG) 영역에서 학업 성장을 측정합니다. 이러한 평가는 테스트 대상에 대한 커리큘럼의 기반이 되는 공통 핵심 주 표준 및 차세대 과학 표준과 일치하도록 특별히 설계되었습니다.

About MAP Growth

The MAP assessments are created by NWEA (North West Evaluation Association) which is a research-based, not-for-profit organization that supports students and educators worldwide by creating assessment solutions that precisely measure growth and proficiency.For 40 years, NWEA has developed assessments and professional learning offerings to help advance all students along their optimal learning paths. More than 13 million students in the US and in 140 countries worldwide use MAP Growth. The MAP scores are widely recognized by international schools from elementary school to high school around the world. Most of the international schools use MAP Growth to measure students’ academic growth over time or uses MAP scores in enrollment test as their baselines.

How it Works

MAP Growth is a computer based adaptive assessment: the student takes the test on the computer, and it adjusts its level of difficulty based on the responses of the student. If a student answers a question correctly, the next question is more challenging. If they answer incorrectly, the next question is easier. As a result, each student has the same opportunity to succeed and maintain a positive attitude toward testing.

MAP成长测试是一款计算机自适应测试：学生使用计算机进行考试，计算机根据学生的做题情况调整难度。如果学生正确回答了一道题，那么下道题的难度将会增加。反之，如果学生回答错误，那么下一道题的难度将会减少。自适应测试的优点是每位学生都有同样的机会取得成功，并对考试保持积极的态度。

MAP Growth는 컴퓨터 기반 적응 평가입니다. 학생은 컴퓨터로 시험을 치르고학생의 응답에 따라 난이도를 조정합니다. 학생이 질문에 올바르게 답하면 다음질문이 더 어려워집니다. 그들이 틀리게 대답한다면, 다음 질문은 더 쉽습니다. 결과적으로 각 학생은 시험에 성공하고 긍정적인 태도를 유지할 수 있는 동일한기회를 갖게 됩니다.

What it Measures

After each MAP Growth test, results are delivered in the form of a RIT score that reflects the student’s academic knowledge, skills, and abilities.

MAP Growth uses a RIT (Rasch Unit) scale to accurately measure what students know, regardless of their grade level. It also measures growth over time, allowing teachers to track students’ progress throughout the school year and across multiple years. RIT scores have the same meaning across grade levels. If a fourth-grade student and an eighth-grade student have the same RIT score in reading, then they are testing at the same level in that subject. This stable scale allows teachers to accurately measure each student’s academic growth throughout the school year and over time.

学生完成 MAP成长测试后，考试报告会以 RIT 得分的形式呈现学生的学术知识、技能和能力。

MAP成长测试利用 RIT 量表，准确衡量学生的知识掌握情况(无论其年级水准如何) 。该测试还可以衡量学生的阶段性学业成长情况，让老师掌握学生在整个学年及跨学年期间所取得的进步。RIT 得分在各年龄学段都具有相同的意义。如果一位四年级学生与一位八年级学生获得相同的RIT阅读分数，这意味着他们的阅读测试水平相同。这种稳定的测试标准使老师能够准确地衡量每个学生在整个学年和不同时期的学业增长情况。

MAP Growth allows ISD to assess students for growth in acquiring content and skills and gives teachers specific goals to help students progress on the continuum of skills acquisition. Additionally, the test data provides resources for teachers to differentiate and adjust instruction for individuals based on results of the assessment, as appropriate.

MAP成长测试让学校得以评估学生在学术知识和技能掌握方面的进步情况，并为老师提供明确的教学目标，以帮助学生在学习中不断进步。除此之外，老师会以测试结果数据为基础，调整教学方式，因材施教。

MAP 성장을 통해 ISD는 내용 및 기술 습득의 성장에 대해 학생을 평가할 수 있으며 교사에게 학생이 기술 습득의 연속성에서 발전할 수 있도록 특정 목표를제공합니다. 또한 테스트 데이터는 교사가 평가 결과에 따라 개인을 위한 지시를 차별화하고 조정할 수 있는 리소스를 적절하게 제공합니다.
