Community | PSTC Foster Partnership and Empower Student Success

Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences (PSTC) are a time to celebrate a children’s milestones in learning as well as an opportunity to explore the areas for growth and strategies to improve. Last week, ISD held its first PSTC of the school year. Parents, students, and teachers engaged in one-on-one discussions, fostering the growth of the home-school relationship to better support children’s learning and development.

家长会是一个重要时刻，旨在庆祝孩子的阶段性学习成果，探讨现阶段有待提高的地方并制定下一步学习计划。ISD在上周举办了本学年的第一次家长会。家长、学生和老师三方以一对一的形式进行交流，促进家校关系的稳固成长，更好地支持孩子的学习和发展。

학부모-학생-교사 회의(PSTC)는 자녀의 학습 성취를 축하하는 시간이자 성장 영역과 개선 전략을 모색할 수 있는 기회입니다. 지난주 ISD는 학년도 첫 PSTC를 개최했습니다. 학부모, 학생, 교사가 일대일 토론에 참여하여 가정과 학교의 관계를 발전시켜 아동의 학습과 발달을 더 잘 지원할 수 있는 방안을 모색했습니다.

In the Early Childhood and Elementary School sections, teachers shared academic progress based on multiple sources such as classroom observations, Digital Portfolios, students’ work and PSTC form/checklists, while parents contributed their thoughts on their child’s growth at home. Students actively participated, reflecting on their progress and setting goals. The discussions between the three parties are critical in shaping the educational path of the younger students at ISD.

在幼儿园和小学部，教师们根据课堂观察、学生展示、学生作品和家长会表格或清单等信息，详细分享了学生的学业进展。家长也分享了他们对孩子在家中表现的观察和看法。同时，学生们积极参与讨论，回顾自己的学习情况并设定目标。三方共同讨论对于为低年龄学段学生在ISD的教育提供个性化支持起着重要作用。

유아 및 초등학교 섹션에서 교사는 교실 관찰, 디지털 포트폴리오, 학생의 과제물, PSTC 양식/체크리스트 등 다양한 자료를 바탕으로 학업 성취도를 공유했고, 학부모는 가정에서 자녀의 성장에 대한 생각을 공유했습니다. 학생들은 적극적으로 참여하여 자신의 진도를 되돌아보고 목표를 설정했습니다. 세 당사자 간의 논의는 ISD에서 어린 학생들의 교육 경로를 형성하는 데 매우 중요합니다.

The Secondary School section featured student-led conferences that included conversations with parents, students, and educators. During these conferences, students led the discussions and identified their strengths, areas for growth, and strategies to improve. The student-led conferences empower students to take ownership of their learning journey and fosters responsibility and engagement.

在中学部家长会中，学校采用了学生主导的形式进行会议，家长、学生和老师三方一同参与讨论。学生主导讨论，与家长和老师分享自己学习中的优势、需要改进的方面以及改进策略。这种学生主导的会议能够增强学生对学习的主人翁意识，培养他们的责任感和参与意识。

중등부 섹션에서는 학부모, 학생, 교육자들과의 대화가 포함된 학생 주도의 컨퍼런스가 진행되었습니다. 이 컨퍼런스에서 학생들은 토론을 주도하며 자신의 강점, 성장 분야, 개선 전략을 파악했습니다. 학생 주도의 컨퍼런스는 학생들이 자신의 학습 여정에 대한 주인의식을 갖고 책임감과 참여도를 높일 수 있도록 지원합니다.

Aside from PSTC, ISD provides a variety of contact opportunities for parents, such as Parent-Teacher communication portals, Open House, Parent Workshops, Information Sessions, and Coffee Morning with Principal. Individual meetings with teachers can also be requested by parents if they have concerns or questions about their child’s progress. These efforts seek to guarantee that every child in ISD receives the support, guidance, and opportunity necessary for academic, social, and emotional success.
