ISD is proud to have a strong and professional English Language Learners (ELL) team that supports students to achieve academic excellence. At ISD, the ELL program is available for students who are non-native English speakers and have limited experience and ability with English. With this program, students are given opportunities to study in an inclusive system to attain both social and academic language.

ISD以拥有一支强大且专业的非英语母语学习者（ELL）教师团队感到自豪，帮助学生取得优异的学业成绩。ISD的ELL项目适用于母语不是英语以及英语使用经验和水平有限的学生。在ELL项目的支持下，学生可以获得强有力的系统语言学习指导，在社交和学术英语的学习中得到快速进步。

ISD는 학생들이 학문적 우수성을 달성할 수 있도록 지원하는 강력하고 전문적인영어 학습자(ELL) 팀을 보유하고 있음을 자랑스럽게 생각합니다. ISD에서 ELL 프로그램은 영어가 모국어가 아니고, 영어에 대한 경험과 능력이 제한적인 학생들이 이용할 수 있습니다. 이 프로그램을 통해 학생들은 사회적 언어와 학문적 언어를 모두 습득할 수 있는 포괄적인 시스템에서 공부할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 됩니다.

ISD students come from diverse cultural backgrounds and speak different languages. ISD uses English as our primary language of instruction and communication and provides a comprehensive ELL program to ensure ISD students have access and can actively participate in the world-class educational experience, regardless of what experiences and abilities they have in English.

ISD 학생들은 다양한 문화적 배경을 가지고 있으며 다양한 언어를 구사합니다. ISD는 영어를 기본 교육 및 의사소통 언어로 사용하며 포괄적인 ELL 프로그램을제공하고 ISD 학생들이 영어에 대한 경험과 능력에 관계없이 세계적 수준의 교육경험에 접근하고 적극적으로 참여할 수 있도록 합니다.

There are two specific ways that ISD ELL teachers support ELL students a lot among the multitude of ways. One way of it is that ELL teachers work with students in small groups and provide instructional strategies that will prepare students for English in rigorous academic settings. ELL teachers teach English vocabulary, sentences, and discussion skills to meet curriculum demands and different learning needs.

在多样化的语言支持方式中，ISD ELL老师通常采用两种方式来帮助ELL学生。其中一种方式是，ELL老师和学生开展小组学习，提供学习策略，帮助他们更好地适应英语学习氛围和严谨的学术环境。老师结合学生的课程内容，通过教授英语单词，句子和讨论技巧等知识，满足不同学生的语言提升需要。

ISD ELL 교사가 다양한 방법 중에서 ELL 학생들을 많이 지원하는 두 가지 구체적인 방법이 있습니다. 그 중 한 가지 방법은 ELL 교사가 소그룹으로 학생들과 함께 일하며 학생들이 엄격한 학업 환경에서 영어를 준비할 수 있도록 교육 전략을제공하는 것입니다. ELL 교사는 커리큘럼 요구와 다양한 학습 요구를 충족시키기위해 영어 단어, 문장 및 토론 기술을 가르칩니다.

Additionally, ELL teachers co-plan and co-teach with the subject teachers to support the needs of all students in the classroom. They work in the classes using strategies where students will learn the language and the content together. For example, in the Elementary School, ELL teacher, Ms. Samantha, supports students by planning lessons closely with the homeroom teacher and then further provides support by co-teaching those lessons. For instance, a homeroom teacher will instruct a lesson in learning about cells, meanwhile, Ms. Samantha might add necessary vocabulary or provide illustrations to help further enhance students’ understanding of the specific content.

此外，ELL老师与学科老师一起规划课程并且在课室里共同教学。ELL老师在课堂上课运用教学策略，帮助学生在学习英语的同时，掌握学科内容。以小学部为例，ELL老师Ms. Samantha围绕课程设计与班主任老师进行密切合作，并通过共同教学进一步提供学习支持。例如，班主任在教授关于细胞的相关知识时，Ms. Samantha可能会提供必要的词汇或插图示例，以帮助进一步加强学生对具体内容的理解。
