Moment | Young Learners’ Adventure into the Animal Kingdom

Our first graders went on a field trip to Shenzhen Safari Park, extending education beyond the classroom. The young learners engaged in an experiential adventure led by educators and parents, where they not only learned about wildlife but also had a lot of fun.

Our students brought maps with them and followed the route to visit different animal habitats. As the animal kingdom unfolded vividly before them, they shared their discoveries with peers and engaged in discussions about what they had learnt in the classroom. During the trip, they were able to see rare animals up close, explore their habitats, and learn about a variety of species.

学生带着园区地图，循着路线图的指引前往各个动物景点。动物王国在他们眼前生动地展示开来，他们与同伴分享着这次眼前所见，一同探讨课堂所学。在实地探究学习中，他们近距离观察珍稀动物、探索它们的栖息地，更深入地了解物种的丰富多样。

우리 학생들은 지도를 가져와서 경로를 따라 다양한 동물 서식지를 방문했습니다. 동물의 왕국이 눈앞에 생생하게 펼쳐지면서 학생들은 발견한 것을 동료들과 공유하고 교실에서 배운 내용에 대해 토론했습니다. 여행하는 동안 학생들은 희귀한 동물을 가까이서 보고, 서식지를 탐험하고, 다양한 종에 대해 배울 수 있었습니다.

Our students observed the pandas’ bamboo-eating habits and admired the power of the South China tigers and the grace of flamingos with vibrant pink plumage. They were deeply impressed by the giraffes as they bent their long necks to reach leaves, and the Asian elephants, which showcased their intelligence. Moreover, they had the chance to observe a variety of other animals in their natural habitats, including camels, zebra finches, parrots, and more.

学生们观察大熊猫吃竹子的进食习性，惊叹于华南虎的强大力量和粉色火烈鸟的优雅身姿。长颈鹿弯曲着它们的长脖子去够枝叶，亚洲象展示出它们古老的智慧，这些生动的动物世界画面给学生们留下了深刻的印象。他们还参观了其他多种动物在它们的自然栖息地中的生活状态，包括骆驼、珍珠鸟、鹦鹉等。

우리 학생들은 판다의 대나무 먹는 습관을 관찰하고 남중국 호랑이의 힘과 선명한 분홍색 깃털을 가진 홍학의 우아함에 감탄했습니다. 긴 목을 구부려 나뭇잎에 손을 뻗는 기린과 영리함을 뽐내는 아시아 코끼리의 모습에 깊은 감명을 받았습니다. 이 밖에도 낙타, 얼룩부리새, 앵무새 등 자연 서식지에서 다양한 동물을 관찰할 수 있는 기회도 가졌습니다.

As an integral part of the curriculum activities, the field trip enhanced our children’s educational experience by allowing them to learn beyond the classroom. It ignited their curiosity and helped them cultivate essential skills in observation and inquiry while developing empathy and a strong sense of responsibility toward preserving our planet’s biodiversity.

这次实地探究学习是课程教学的重要一环，让孩子们踏出校园，收获了更加丰富的学习体验。这种学习方式不仅激发他们的好奇心，还培养了观察和探究的重要技能，同时也培养他们对保护地球生物多样性的责任感和同理心。

커리큘럼 활동의 필수적인 부분인 현장 학습은 아이들이 교실 밖에서 배울 수 있게 함으로써 아이들의 교육 경험을 향상시켰습니다. 아이들의 호기심을 자극하고 관찰과 탐구에서 필수적인 기술을 배양하는 동시에 지구의 생물 다양성 보존에 대한 공감과 강한 책임감을 키우는 데 도움이 되었습니다.
